About Recitare
From the Latin recitāre: to read aloud.
Most of what we read is gone within weeks.
Recitare began in the first year of a PhD, with a reading list that never got shorter. Articles, chapters and papers piled up while the time to read them shrank. Listening helped: a paper read aloud on a commute is a paper actually finished. But finishing was not the problem. Keeping was.
So Recitare became a place where reading accumulates. Add a source and Recitare finds its ideas and puts them in your Recitare Brain, next to everything you have read before. It shows you where two subjects say the same thing, answers your questions from your own sources, and asks you, in short reviews, to say what you learned in your own words.
It is built to help you learn, not to learn for you. Summaries are never a substitute for the reading. Nothing you add is used to train models, and you can delete it any time.
